Assuming the meaning of Scripture can be dangerous. Why can’t you just read Scripture for what it says? If our usage of a verse, out of context, suggests a different meaning from what the broader passage warrants, then it is wrong. Whenever we read or hear someone using a single verse in isolation, it’s good to plug that verse back into its original passage to see if it still fits with its designated interpretation. But how do you properly put a passage of Scripture in context and study out its true meaning? Join us for one of our Bible Workshops to learn how to Observe, Interpret, and Apply a passage of Scripture. This isn’t a Bible Study, rather a workshop on how to study the Bible. We hope you’ll join us!
