Declaration of Faith2023-12-04T15:21:57+00:00
THE BIBLE2023-12-02T18:37:12+00:00

We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, as verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in matters of Faith and Life (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

THE TRINITY2023-12-02T18:37:19+00:00

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (1 John 5:1-8; John 14:16; Matthew 28:19).

GOD THE FATHER2023-12-02T18:37:36+00:00

We believe in God the Father. This person is the first in the Godhead. He is eternal, self-existent, omniscient, omnipotent, and the person through whom the Son is eternally begotten and sent into this sinful world (Psalm 147:5; Romans 1:7, Revelation 9:6).

JESUS CHRIST2023-12-02T18:37:49+00:00

We believe in the absolute Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, truly God, and truly Man (John 1: 1-14; 10:30; 14:8-12).

We believe in God the Son. He is the second person of the Trinity eternally existing; begotten of the Father, and the Savior of all who believe. He is perfect God and perfect man (God-man), impeccable and unchanging. He has three offices; as prophet while here on earth, as priest now in Heaven on our behalf, as King in the future on David’s throne (Revelation 3:21; John 14:1-6; Colossians 1:16-17). As God He displays the attributes of God such as omnipresence (Matthew 18:20), omniscience (Colossians 2:2-3), omnipotence (Hebrews 1:3), and immutability (Hebrews 13:8).

We believe in the miracles of Christ (John 2:1-11, John 5:6).

THE HOLY SPIRIT2023-12-02T18:37:42+00:00

We believe in God the Holy Spirit. We believe that the wonderful Person of the Holy Spirit eternally exists in the Godhead. The Scriptures teach many things about the Holy Spirit of which we believe: First, the Holy Spirit is the one who convicts a sinner and leads him to turn to God (John 16:8; John 6:44). The Holy Spirit brings about the new birth (2 Peter 1:3-4, Titus 3:5). Also, He makes the body of a Christian His temple and dwells therein (John 14:6-17). The Holy Spirit baptizes each Christian into the body of Christ immediately upon acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal savior, making him a part of the mystical Church of the first born (I Corinthians12:13). Also, being sealer of our salvation (2 Corinthians 1:21-2), the Holy Spirit has a regular work in the life of all Christians. He is the teacher and guide (John 16:12-14), Comforter (John 16:7), helper in prayer (Romans 8:26-27). From Romans 8:15-16 we are told that He gives assurance of Salvation and is the one who works in the Christian the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). It is the privilege and duty of every Christian to be filled with the person of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18).

VIRGIN BIRTH2023-12-02T18:37:28+00:00

We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18-25; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6-7; Luke 1:26-38). We believe in his perfect humanity (that is, it was impossible for our Lord to have sinned).

NATURE OF MAN2023-12-02T18:37:55+00:00

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed (Genesis 1:26, Romans 5:12).

SALVATION2023-12-02T18:38:01+00:00

We believe in the sacrificial death of Christ, that He died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutional sacrifice, and that we are justified on the grounds of God’s grace (Romans 3:26-31), through faith in His blood (1 Peter 1:18; 2:24, John 3:1-18, 2 Corinthians 5:21).

We believe God provided salvation by giving His own Son, the Lord Jesus Christ to take the sinner’s place to die the death that the sinner deserved (1 Peter 3:18). In John 3:16 we read, “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” We believe that through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work, the sinner who will make this a personal application to himself, that he then is born again (John 3:3; 1 Peter 11:18-19; Ephesians 2:8-10) and is passed from death unto life, (1 Peter 1:23, John 5:24), ceases to be a child of wrath, (Ephesians 2:3), and becomes a child of God (Galatians 3:26).

RESURRECTION OF CHRIST2023-12-02T18:38:09+00:00

We believe in the Resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord; in His Ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate (John 20; Matthew 28; Luke 24; 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 9:24; Acts 1:11).

SANCTIFICATION2023-12-02T18:38:14+00:00

We believe in the doctrine of sanctification. Sanctification is that sovereign act of our Lord whereby He sets apart a person, a place, or an object for Himself in order that He might accomplish His purpose. It simply means separated or set apart. Sanctification is three fold: First, positional sanctification, which is the act of God the Holy Spirit in which He sets apart every born again believer (Hebrews 10:10, Ephesians 4:24). Second, there is progressive sanctification as the believer grows in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus (2 Peter 3:18), he is, through the Holy Spirit and by the Word of God, being changed and being conformed to the image of Christ (John 17:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24, 2 Corinthians 3:18). Third, the complete and final sanctification which awaits the sight of the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:21, 1 John 3:2-3).

We believe that every Christian should live a life and have a testimony that is pleasing to the Lord Jesus Christ, a life that will not bring reproach to His name. There should be a separation from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful activities, practices and associations (2 Timothy 3:1-5; Romans 12:1-2; 14:13; 1 John 2:15-17; 2 John 9-11; 2 Corinthians 6:14).

INTERCESSORY WORK OF CHRIST2023-12-02T19:25:07+00:00

We believe in the intercessory work of Christ (Hebrews 7:25, Romans 8:34).

THE CHURCH2023-12-02T19:22:33+00:00

We believe that Christ is the head over all things to the Church, which is His body, formed of regenerated persons vitally united to Christ and to one another by one Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:12, Ephesians 1:22-23, Colossians 1:18).

We believe that the local church is a band of born-again believers who live in one locality and assemble themselves together in His name on the Lord’s Day for breaking of bread, prayer, Bible study, testimony and fellowship (Matthew 18:20, Titus 1:5-11). We believe that the Pastor is the shepherd of the flock who is to teach them the Word of God and instruct them in the things of God (Ephesians 4:11-12).

SACRAMENTS2023-12-02T19:22:25+00:00

We believe baptism is the command to every Christian to follow Christ in believer’s baptism by immersion. It is a symbol of the believer’s identification with Christ in burial and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4, Colossians 2:12, 1 Peter 3:21).

We believe in the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:26). This ordinance was instituted by the Lord Jesus on the night in which he was betrayed (Matthew 26:26-30, Mark 14:22-26).

SATAN2023-12-02T19:22:04+00:00

We believe in the Personality of Satan, that old serpent, the Devil and Satan which deceiveth the world (Revelation 12:9-10; Matthew 4:2-11; Isaiah 14:12-17).

HEAVEN AND HELL2023-12-02T19:22:19+00:00

We believe in the bodily Resurrection of the just and the unjust; the everlasting felicity (happiness) of the saved and the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost (John 5:28-29, 1 Corinthians 15:22-23; Luke 16:19-31).

ETERNAL SECURITY2023-12-02T19:21:54+00:00

We believe in the eternal security of the believer, that “once saved, forever saved” (John 10:27-29; Romans 10:13).

THE LORD’S DAY2023-12-02T19:22:12+00:00

We believe that the first day of the week (Sunday) is the Lord’s Day, the Day of Resurrection. We should keep this day as a holy memorial of Him who was raised from the dead. For Christians, it should be a day of holy activity (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2; John 20:19; Matthew 28:1).

THE RETURN OF CHRIST2023-12-02T19:21:34+00:00

We believe in the Blessed Hope; the personal, premillennial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8; John 14:1-3).

GIFT OF TONGUES2023-12-02T19:21:47+00:00

We believe that the gift of tongues is a dispensational gift and is not applicable for today. We do not practice, nor endorse the practice of speaking in tongues (1 Corinthians 13:8-10).

SANCTITY OF LIFE2023-12-02T19:21:41+00:00

We believe in the sanctity of human life. The Bible teaches that life begins at conception. Psalm 139:13, “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.” Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” We believe that active euthanasia is a violation of God’s law. Exodus 20:13, “You shall not murder.” We believe that abortion in any form is the taking of human life. We also emphasize that the Gospel makes possible the forgiveness of any sin. God offers mercy and healing for those who put their faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
