Membership shows that you are committed to being a fully contributing partner.
Why Membership Matters
Taking the step of membership is a public declaration of your commitment to GBC. It allows you to:
- Contribute to the Church’s Life: Fully commit to the life of the church family through giving, serving, and discipleship.
- Serve in Leadership: Membership is required to serve in specific, high-trust roles at GBC, such as teaching and leadership positions.
- Participate in Governance: Have the right to vote on important church decisions, providing guidance and direction for our future.
- Receive Shepherding: Commit yourself to be overseen, prayed for, and shepherded by our church leadership.

How to Become a Member
Our membership process is designed to ensure you understand our beliefs and practices before making this important commitment. The process begins with our New Members Class, which introduces you to:
- Our Beliefs: What we believe, teach, and stand for (our Statement of Faith).
- Our History: Where we came from and where God is leading us.
- Our Practices: Our church governance, structure, and expectations for members.

- When: New Members Classes are generally offered twice per year in the Fall and Spring quarters. Check GBC Central for updates.
