TRUST JESUS2024-05-21T19:54:27+00:00

We believe following Jesus is the best life possible.  He forgives our past, brings us joy in the present, and becomes our hope for the future.  When we trust Jesus, we become a life changed by Christ.

Jesus is the answer to our broken relationship with God.2023-12-01T14:51:04+00:00

Humanity’s relationship with God was broken when Adam and Eve sinned by disobeying God. God promised a Redeemer who would defeat Satan and reconcile God and man. The New Testament shows us that Jesus is the promised Redeemer.  Through his death on the cross, Jesus atoned for our sin and restored the possibility of a relationship with God.  Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

Jesus is the answer—the only answer—to our broken relationship with God. It is Jesus who makes it possible for our sins to be forgiven and for us to be children of God. Jesus mends our relationship with God so that we can fellowship with Him during our lifetimes and eventually live with Him for eternity.

Jesus is the solution to our broken relationships with each other.2023-12-01T01:49:33+00:00

When Adam and Eve sinned, they not only broke their relationship with God but also damaged their relationship with each other. Humans have been struggling in relationship to one another ever since.  Jesus is the answer to all types of disharmony.  When we have received forgiveness in Jesus, we can forgive others (Ephesians 4:32). Jesus is the solution for our relational turmoil.

Jesus instructs His followers to love one another humbly, sacrificially and in unity (John 13:34–35).

Jesus is the answer to our guilty consciences. 2023-12-01T13:30:14+00:00

Jesus is the solution to our guilt problem. We all have done things we shouldn’t.  We’ve followed our own way instead of God’s way.   Through Jesus, we can be forgiven of our past sins.  Even after we are saved, we still sin and experience the consequences of sin. Sin keeps us from fellowshipping with God fully. But we have God’s promise: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

The answer to guilt is grace.  Christ offered himself not only so that your sins would be forgiven. The blood of Christ was shed so that your conscience could be cleansed (Hebrews 9:14).  Confession is a wonderful gift when you know that grace is waiting for you on the other side. Tell God what you did – confess it, repent of it, give it to Jesus, and let your conscience be clean so that you can once again experience the peace of God.

Jesus is the answer to a meaningless existence.2023-12-01T13:53:20+00:00

Many people struggle with the meaninglessness of worldly pursuits apart from God. When we are spiritually dead, life is ultimately empty.  The writer of Ecclesiastes states it well: everything in this world is ultimately meaningless (Ecclesiastes 1:2-4).   Nothing in this world will fully satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts; only Jesus can do that (John 6:35).

But, in Jesus, we have purpose. He said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10). The Christian life is an abundant life.  Without Jesus, we are incapable of achieving anything, yet through Him, we can produce abundant results (John 15:5).

We are invited to be part of God’s work in the world, helping build his Kingdom.  This brings us meaning!

Jesus is the answer to our worries and doubts.2023-12-01T14:32:08+00:00

Life involves hardship, and with hardship come worries, fears, and doubts.

Jesus told His followers, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).  Jesus also reminded us of God’s love and care (Matthew 6:25–33).

Jesus is the reason we are not alone. Jesus is the answer to our fears and heartaches. He can sympathize with us because He has lived a human life in this broken world (Hebrews 4:15–16). Jesus gives us peace and equips us to endure, and even rejoice in, the hardships of this life (James 1:2–5).

Jesus is the answer to our eternity.2023-12-02T01:46:37+00:00

We all have a sense of the eternal, and we long for something that is beyond this world. Ecclesiastes 3:11 explains that God has set eternity in our hearts.

Through the forgiveness of our sins by following Jesus we can confidently look forward to eternal life in its final, victorious form (John 3:16). There we’ll be in our eternal home in heaven, having received our eternal, incorruptible, glorified bodies and dwelling in Jesus’ presence forever.
